Description
English: 1965 Rambler Classic 770 convertible, a mid-size automobile (described as an "intermediate" car at the time) made by American Motors Corporation (AMC). The convertible body style was available only in the 770 model trim version. This Rambler is V8 powered with standard power top. It has the optional 3-speed automatic transmission, power brakes, power steering, factory AM radio, visibility group (includes remote controlled outside rear view mirror), wheel covers with spinners, bumper guards, as well as the dealer accessory under dash-mounted tissue dispenser. The electric clock was standard on 770 models. This Classic is finished in Corral Cordovan metallic (paint code: P12A) and the standard interior in "cordovan/taupe" vinyl with individually adjustable and reclining front bench seats. This car has two grille award badges from the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), including a 2010 Grand National First Prize. Note: the original whitewall tires for 1965 featured a narrower stripe than on this car that are the "prior-generation" broad white version. Picture taken during the 2015 Rockville Antique and Classic Car Show in Maryland.
