Summary edit

Description
English: Two convertibles parked next to each other! 1967 AMC Ambassador DPL convertible built by American Motors Corporation (AMC). This car is finished in blue with the optional "Satin-Chrome" lower bodyside trim (available only on DPL models), and a power top in white. Note: the hood ornament is AMC's later model version with their tricolor logo. The Ambassador is parked next to a 1968 AMC Rebel convertible in green that has been customized with a hood scoop used only on the 1970 The Machine muscle car, as well as later model AMC's slot-type styled wheels and other custom features. The 1967 Ambassadors featured a new folding top design with a "split stack" mechanism and side rails that did not intrude into the backseat area thus offering more space for rear seat passengers. This convertible has the standard engine, AMC's new 290 cu in (4.8 L) 2-bbl V8. This car has custom painted styled steel wheels that were available in later years on AMC cars. Photograph taken during the American Motors Owners Association (AMO) annual convention that was held July 2015 near Cleveland, Ohio.
