English: 1967 AMC Marlin, a full-sized, two-door fastback positioned in the "Personal Luxury" market segment. The 1967 Marlins were built on AMC's completely redesigned 118 in (2,997 mm) wheelbase. The chassis was shared with the AMC Ambassador and the appearance from the windshield forward was essentially the same. However, the fastback roof, rear side windows, rear fenders as well as rear-end styling were all unique to the Marlin. All AMC Marlins featured a true hardtop body design with no "B-pillar" support providing a clear view from the side windows.
This car is finished in Matador Red with a matching red interior with bucket seats. It has AMC's 290 cu in (4.8 L) V8 engine with T-10 4-speed manual transmission with the shifter on the center console as well as an optional heavy-duty clutch. Factory equipment includes full wheel covers (with "M" logo) and a tinted windshield. The tinted rear window was standard on Marlins. Accessories include a factory AM/FM radio and AMC's clear vinyl floor mats. Photographs were taken at the June 2021 American Motors Owners (AMO) convention that was held in Colorado Springs, Colorado. |
