Summary edit

Description
English: 1969 AMC Ambassador DPL four-door sedan in Pompeii Yellow (paint code P-91) with black vinyl covered roof and a black interior with 50-50 individually adjustable and reclining front seats. This car is all original and has AMC's standard air conditioning along the optional 343 cu in (5.6 L) V8 engine.

The "DPL" was a mid-trim version of American Motors' redesigned, full-sized Ambassador line (the base model was for fleet customers while the top, and more popular, trim "SST" came in two-door hardtop as well as in four-door sedan and station wagon body styles). The 1969 model year Ambassadors received a major restyling that included a 4-inch (102 mm) longer overall length and also in wheelbase. Its new 122-inch (3,099 mm) wheelbase was also accompanied by an increase in front and rear track from 58.5 to 60 inches (1,486 to 1,524 mm). The new front end features a new grille with horizontally-mounted headlamps and the rear was restyled.

Photographed at the Rambler Ranch collection (located at 36370 Forest Trail, Elizabeth, CO 80107) that was part of the 2021 American Motors Owners (AMO) convention held in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
