English: Driver's cockpit and dashboard with the factory standard Sun (brand) tachometer strapped to the steering column in the 1969 SC/Rambler - a compact two-door hardtop "muscle car" produced by American Motors Corporation (AMC) in collaboration with Hurst Performance. This two-door hardtop body style (no "B" pillar) was a special low-priced factory-ready (Stock Car) model designed to to showcase AMC in performance and drag racing. Each Hurst SC/Rambler came equipped with AMC's 315 hp (235 kW; 319 PS) 390 cu in (6.4 L) AMC V8 engine from the AMX and only with a four-speed manual transmission (with Hurst shifter), as well as a standard 3.54:1 "Twin-Grip" limited slip differential. This car has the "A" paint scheme. Photograph taken at Potomac Ramblers Club's 2011 all AMC Drag Race Day held at the Capitol Raceway, an NHRA sanctioned, 1/4 mile, asphalt and concrete, drag strip located in Crofton, Maryland. |
