Summary
editDescription1971 AMC Ambassador sedan with optional Custom upholstery at Rambler Ranch.jpg |
English: 1971 AMC Ambassador, a full-size premium-level car built by American Motors Corporation (AMC). The long-running Ambassador nameplate received minor revisions in trim for the 1971 model year compared to the previous year and also included more factory standard equipment. The previously "nameless" base models were dropped and "Brougham" became the top-line available in two-door hardtop as well as four-door sedan and station wagon body designs. They had the 304 cu in (5.0 L) V8 engine with 210 hp (157 kW) as standard. The previous "AMX 390" V8 engine was replaced by a new 401 cu in (6.6 L) 330 hp V8 as the top performance option. This car has the 401 with the dual exhaust system, standard individually adjustable reclining 50-50 front seats in the optional "Custom" fabric upholstery in black, as well as AM/FM radio and power windows.
Photographed at the Rambler Ranch collection (located at 36370 Forest Trail, Elizabeth, CO 80107, see: https://www.ramblerranch.com ) that was part of the 2021 American Motors Owners (AMO) convention held in Colorado Springs, Colorado. |
