Summary
editDescription1971 Flyer trolleybus - Toronto, 1987.jpg |
English: Toronto Transit Commission trolleybus 9232 westbound on route 4-Annette in 1987, in Toronto, Ontario. It is travelling west on Dupont Street just east of the intersection with Dundas Street and Annette Street. The vehicle was built in early 1971 by Western Flyer Coach Ltd. (which changed its name to Flyer Industries later in 1971 and, later still, became New Flyer Industries), but fitted – by the TTC's own staff – with recycled electrical propulsion equipment taken from 1947/48 CCF-Brill trolleybuses being retired. Toronto's Flyer trolleybuses were withdrawn in January 1992, and the last trolleybus service (routes 4 and 6) ended in July 1993. |
