The Hornet was a compact car built in the US by AMC from 1969-77, but variations were also built in Mexico and Australia. Known in America as the AMC Hornet, it was available as a Coupe, Sedan or Wagon. Australian assembled Hornets, like this one, were called the Rambler Hornet and were only available in 4 door form, assembled there from 1970-75. AMC cars were assembled in Australia by AMI from 1954-78, they were all marketed as Ramblers. Engine; 232 or 258 cu in 6 cyl |
