Description

A teaser of what's to come... I managed to snare this free of charge when I purchased another old car book - thanks to the vendor - at a local market last month. This covers the 1980 National Motor Show, held at the NEC in Birmingham, England in late 1980. It covers all the vehicles displayed at the show, and all the new models for 1981. On the cover we have a Lotus Esprit, a Fiat Panda, a Renault Fuego, an Alfasud, an Austin MiniMetro, a Ferrari Mondial, a Toyota Crown, a Porsche 924 Turbo, a Ford Escort XR3 and a Reliant Scimitar GTC.

CYH874V - the Crown's plate - was actually registered to a Toyota Celica ST that came off the road in 1993. YH code is from London, but Toyota GB's headquarters at the time were actually in Redhill, Surrey.

The Panda - MSB581W - is no longer on the DVLA database.
