Description 1992 GMC K-2500 4WD ambulance. Operated by the Ambulance Service of NSW. Fibreglass ambulance body fitted by JAKAB Industries in Tamworth NSW. When Ford Australia announced they were not importing the F-series after 1992, ambulance services around Australia immediately went looking for an alternative chassis. NSW Ambulance trialled Chevrolet and GMC cab chassis. This is one of the first trial vehicles. Scanned from a photo taken at an Ambulance Expo held at Penrith Panthers about 1992.
