Description

EKQ938 SpottedLaurel's recent photo of a (highly modified) Toyota Cavalier in the UK reminded me that I had a few photos of these unusual but cool cars. Basically, they are RHD Chevrolet Cavaliers, sold by Toyota in Japan. It was part of a deal between Toyota and GM - in return for marketing the Cavalier in Japan, Toyota would send more new cars to the USA. They were never sold new here, which means all examples in NZ are JDM imports.

This is a pre-facelift model. A coupe was also available, which is the more common variant.
