1ATF soldiers watch a balancing act at Nui Dat, September 1970

Summary

edit
Description
English: Nui Dat, South Vietnam. September 1970. Soldiers at the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) base, stand and sit in pouring rain as a member of a Rural Development Cultural Drama Group (RDCD) does an intricate balancing act during a concert that the black-pyjama clad Vietnamese gave for the Australians. This is the first time the RDCD Group has performed at Nui Dat, and the show was at their request as a 'thank you' for the work the Australians have done for the people of Phuoc Tuy Province.
