Description

"First in the First-Edwin C. Clarke, (left) secretary-treasurer of the 1st Marine Division Association, pins a membership card on Lieutenant General Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller while Colonel Jonas M. Platt, Association Vice-president looks on. General Puller was the first Marine to sign the "blotter" at Division Headquarters in the Sheraton Park Hotel. The general was later elected president of the 1st Division Association."
