Description
English: On 7 October 1966, a joint U.S. and South Vietnamese Army pacification program termed "Operation Lam Son II", is conducted by elements of the 1st Infantry Division, and elements of the 5th ARVN Forces in the Binh Dung Province, 20 kilometers northwest of Saigon. Medics from the 1st Medical Battalion work to save the lives of two Vietnamese farmers who were hit by a Viet Cong booby trap while they were enroute to the medical aid station for free medical aid offered by the program.
