Description
English: Operation Crazy Horse, a search and destroy operation conducted by elements of the 1st Cavalry Division, began on 15 May 1966 approx 20 miles northeast of An Khe and 290 miles northeast of Saigon in the Vinh Thanh Valley area, against an estimated regiment of North Vietnamese Regulars. SP4 Ronaldo Baca (Stockton, CA), supply specialist, HQs 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, guards suspected Vietcong prisoners taken by members of Troop D. NARA 111-CCV-441-34744
