Description
English: Onam is a Hindu festival particularly popular with Malayalis in Kerala and other regions. It is also celebrated by non-Hindus as a cultural festival. The 10-day festival marks numerous festive events, starting with a procession on the 1st day. Various Hindu gods and goddesses are remembered, flower decorations and sports events mark the celebrations.
