English: Railroad crossing sign and gate, as well as a "Do Not Stop on Tracks" sign, a College sign, and some street-name signs at the east end of the platforms for Nassau Boulevard Long Island Rail Road station on the LIRR Hempstead Branch in Garden City, New York. These signs are located on the southwest corner of the intersection of North Avenue while South Avenue is on the opposite side of the grade crossing. Nassau Boulevard and South Street is a signalized intersection, even though the traffic signal aimed at southbound Nassau Boulevard drivers is located on the north side of the grade crossing. Note also the sign directing motorists to Adelphi University, with the additional banner indicating that the road to get there is South Avenue, not North Avenue.
