Description
Deutsch: 1750 erhielt Friedrich II fünf Marmorskulpturen französischer Meister als Geschenke König Ludwigs XV. von Frankreich (1710-1774) als Gegengeschenke für Pferde. Vier von ihnen, Statue of Venus und Mercury von Jean-Baptiste Pigalle (1714-1785), 1748, sowie eine Jagd- und eine Fischerszene als Allegorien von Luft und Wasser von Lambert Sigisbert Adam (1700-1759), 1749, ließ er im Schlossparterre aufstellen und bis 1760 durch weitere Marmorskulpturen von François Gaspard Adam (1710-1761) zu einem Rondell aus vier Statuen der Vier Elemente und acht Statuen antiker Götter zum geistigen Zentrum des Parks ergänzen.
