Description 200331-N-GP839-0029 SAN DIEGO (Mar. 31, 2020) Lt. Cmdr. Lea Michelle assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), directs a patient to the COVID-19 screening tent from the “Streamer Desk”, Mar. 31. NMCSD’s COVID-19 “Streamer Desk” is the first stop in determining whether or not a patient goes to the screening tent or to normal patient care. The screening tent is where servicemembers, their dependents and beneficiaries go to. receive COVID-19 tests, limiting their contact with others including healthcare workers. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
