Clearwater, Florida 11/8/8. Roxanne Friend was a scientologist who got cancer. She was badgered by cult members to keep auditing and taking courses to cure the cancer. $80,000.00 later she wasn't better; she was feeling worse and wanted to start seeing a regular non-scientologist doctor. The cult went to her home in California with a Winnebago and kidnapped her. They brought her to Clearwater and kept her in an apartment constantly pressuring her to keep forking over money for auditing and courses. At one point, her own Scilon brother physically restrained her from escaping. She was finally released and Roxanne Friend sued the Church of Scientology (case number BC 018003 in Superior Court of the state of CA for the county of LA). The Church settled out of court "for nuisance value." Roxanne not much later died of cancer, which may have been cured had she gotten medical attention sooner. Roxanne did not because she felt that Scientology auditing could cure any ill. See: www.scientology-kills.org/survivors_friend.htm For many cities the 10th straight month of Global Peaceful protests against the scientology cult was Operation Oh Brother Where Art Thou? This theme was to highlight the cult's own internal prison system called the Rehabilitation Project Force (RPF), as well as the Estate Project Forces (EPF) which uses scientology children as young as 13 years old for dangerous and heavy manual labor. See the ABC 20/20 special on the RPF: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHwj4ebZSM8 As well as: www.whyaretheydead.net/childabuse/rpf-children.html |
