Description

Joshua Been, Salida, CO, paints an old Utah Juniper tree along Hermits Rest Road near Hopi Point on Sept 13th, 2011. Been is one of 30 artists invited to participate in the 3rd Annual Celebration of Art, hosted by the Grand Canyon Association. <a href="http://www.grandcanyon.org/" rel="nofollow">www.grandcanyon.org/</a>

Park visitors and residents have the opportunity to watch artists paint the canyon as they seek to represent the shifting light and shadow, amazing land forms, and vibrant colors of this vast landscape.

Proceeds from this event will help fund an art venue on the South Rim that will preserve and showcase the spectacular collection of historic and contemporary paintings owned by Grand Canyon National Park and the Grand Canyon Association.
