Description
English: Silver gilt dress hook the plate is rectangular with a beaded flange running around the outside. There are six globular knops on the outside, one in each corner and one in the middle of both the long edges, with four straight projections separating the knops on the two long sides. The central plate is raised and decorated with five pellets situated in a cross-shape, with curvilinear ropework decoration in between. A small triangular projection at the base forms the top of the hook. towards the top of the reverse is evidence where a loop was soldered onto the back plate, but is now missing.
