Description
English: 'De spoorzoeker' van Lique Schoot.
De Nederlandse kunstenares Lique Schoot (Arnhem 1960) bezocht haar grootvader in Bronbeek toen ze nog klein was. Ze vond hem een afstandelijke wantrouwige man, hij was getraumatiseerd door de gruwelen van geweld en oorlog. Zijn krijgsgevangenschap in een Jappenkamp en gedwongen werk aan de Pakanbaroe-spoorweg op Sumatra hadden hem definitief getekend. Voor hem en andere Bronbekers maakte Lique een installatie waarbinnen de spoorlijn de rode draad vormt. Gedurende het project zal de spoorweg overwoekerd door het gras langzaam in de tijd verdwijnen.
