Activities for Kids 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Grand Canyon Visitor Center: Join the rangers to learn more about people who lived here long ago. Sift for artifacts. Make split-twig figurines and clay pots. Draw rock art using scratch paper. Plant a seed (corn/bean/squash). Throw an atlatl, a hunting tool. Various Times on Saturday, March 23: Grand Canyon Visitor Center - Cultural demonstrations: Navajo Hoop Dance, Navajo weaving, Hopi basket making, Hopi kachina carving, and flint knapping. 7:30 pm Saturday, March 23: Evening Program, Shrine of the Ages - My Eyes Were Opened: Historical Memory and the Canyon’s Traditionally Associated Tribes by Ellen Brennan, Cultural Resources Manager.
