| Description |
English: Lighter-than-Air Ship Hangar No. 2, also known as the South (or Southern) Hangar, as seen from The District at Tustin Legacy across Tustin Ranch Road. Right behind me is Costco at the District at Tustin Legacy, a new shopping plaza. Now the City of Tustin owns part of the land where the base was and calls it Tustin Legacy, where a lot of commercial and residential areas are under development (or available for future development). The U.S. Navy still owns both hangars. The Northern Hangar is available for lease (for special events, etc.) and will likely remain there, but the fate of the Southern Hangar is not certain due to environmental concerns.[1] 日本語: タスティン海兵隊航空基地 (1999年閉鎖) に2つある軟式飛行船ハンガーのうち、南側のもの。南北両ハンガーともアメリカ合衆国国家歴史登録財に指定されている。かつて基地の敷地だった土地の所有権の一部はタスティン市に移行しており、住宅地やショッピングセンターの開発が進んでいる。撮影者の後方にはコストコのザ・ディストリクト・アット・タスティン・レガシー店がある。2014年現在、両ハンガーとも米国海軍が所有しており、北ハンガーはイベントなどに貸し出されているが、この南ハンガーは環境への悪影響の懸念から使用されておらず、将来どうなるかも未定。
