Description
Deutsch: Während des vom Freundeskreis Hannover organisierten Besuches von Schloss Landestrost in Neustadt am Rübenberge entstand diese Aufnahme der von den Neustädter Bürgern in Auftrag gegebenen sogenannten "Königsvase". Hergestellt von der der Buckauer Porzellanmanufaktur, wurde die Vase im Jahr 1859 dem Landesherrn des Königreichs Hannover geschenkt, König Georg V., der im selben Jahr Schützenkönig in Neustadt wurde. Rund eineinhalb Jahrhunderte später wurde die Vase 2005 im Auftrag des Welfenhauses durch das Auktionshaus Sotheby’s versteigert. Für rund 10.000,-- Euro erhielt die Neustädter Schützengesellschaft den Zuschlag, die das historische Stück so nun kurz vor dem 800jährigen Neustädter Stadtjubiläum für die Ausstellung "Erinnern für die Zukunft" der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich machte.
