English: Gruyère is a half-hard to hard yellow cheese, named after the town of Gruyères in Switzerland, and originated in the cantons of Fribourg, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Jura, and Berne. Le Gruyère AOP Réserve has an age of minimum 18 month.
Deutsch: Greyerzer, französisch Le Gruyère, im deutschschweizer Sprachgebrauch einfach Gruyère ist ein halbharter bis harter Schweizer Käse mit geschützter Ursprungsbezeichnung (AOP) aus der Rohmilch von Kühen und stammt aus Fribourg, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Jura, and Bern. Le Gruyère AOP Réserve hat ein Mindestreifealter von 18 Monaten.
Français : Le Gruyère AOP est un fromage suisse qui tire son nom de la Gruyère, une région du canton de Fribourg, où il est fabriqué (voir aussi Gruyères, commune suisse). Il bénéficie d'une appellation d'origine controlée suisse depuis le 6 juillet 2001. Sa zone de production s'étend aux cantons de Fribourg, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Jura, à l'arrondissement du Jura bernois, ainsi qu'aux communes de Ferenbalm, Guggisberg, Mühleberg, Villars-les-Moines, Münchenwiler, Rüschegg et Schwarzenburg dans le canton de Berne. Le Gruyère AOP Réserve nécessite une maturation d'au moins 18 mois.
