| Description | The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District was a participant at the 2015 Lake Tahoe Summit on Aug. 24, 2015, hosting an informational booth and taking a boat tour to learn more about aquatic invasive species. The annual event is open to the public and rotates between California and Nevada. This year’s summit was at the Round Hill Pines Resort Beach and Marina, Nevada. As the nation’s environmental engineers, the Corps is tasked with restoring degraded ecosystems, constructing sustainable facilities, regulating waterways, managing natural resources and cleaning up contaminated sites from past military activities.
