Description2016-10-13 Clathrus bicolumnatus (Lloyd) Sacc. & Trotter 695258.jpg |
Clathrus bicolumnatus (Lloyd) Sacc. & Trotter Image location: Chungju, Chungbuk Province, South Korea This fungus appears in my eyes to be more alike to Clathrus bicolumnatus. The locality seems right for the species, and the gleba distribution is different to that of P. fusiformis. In addition, the arms are thicker on this specimen, as opposed to P. fusiformis, where they are thinner. Does the fungus have a clearly defined, rounded, hollow stipe? If not, then I can almost confirm its identity as C. bicolumnatus. Recognized by sight Used references
