Description
Deutsch: Mündung der Swine in die Ostsee. Um die Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts begann die preußische Armee mit der Anlage von Küstenforts rechts und links der Swine und an der Mündung der Peene. Swinemünde war fortan Festung III. Ranges mit einem Bataillon Fußartillerie. Nach der Entfestigung Stettins 1870 wurden die Festungswerke modernisiert und vergrößert. Die Festung Swinemünde (erbaut 1848 bis 1880) ist noch heute bis auf Werk I gut erhalten und wurde in Einzelobjekten in Privathände gegeben, seit 2004 schrittweise freigelegt und restauriert zu touristischen Anziehungspunkten. Polski: Ujście Świny do Morza Bałtyckiego. Około połowy XIX wieku armia pruska rozpoczęła budowę fortów nadbrzeżnych po obu stronach Świny oraz przy ujściu Piany. Świnoujście stało się wówczas twierdzą III rangi z batalionem artylerii pieszej. Po demilitaryzacji Szczecina w 1870 roku, umocnienia twierdzy zostały zmodernizowane i rozbudowane. Twierdza Świnoujście (zbudowana w latach 1848-1880) jest do dziś dobrze zachowana, z wyjątkiem obiektu I, i została przekazana w ręce prywatne. Od 2004 roku poszczególne obiekty są stopniowo odsłaniane i restaurowane, stając się atrakcjami turystycznymi. Twierdza Anioła w Świnoujściu – Obiekt III.
