Summary edit
Description2016 FingeArts rear from west.jpg | The High Pressure Fire Service Pump House at the intersection of Race Street and N. Christopher Columbus Blvd. in the Old City neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was built in 1901 to feed a system of high-pressure fire hydrants in the Center City area. In 2011, it was bought from the city for $750,000 by Live Arts/Philly Fringe, which converted it into FringeArts, an arts center and headquarters for the organization, at the estimated cost of $5 million. The conversion was done by WRT Planning & Design. (Sources: "New Life at Old High Pressure Fire Service Building" and FringeArts website) |
