Description
English: Tile plaque locating the Gate Sant Ana of the Castle of Albufeira, Albufeira old town, Algarve, Portugal. The town was called Al-buhera which translates from Arabic as "the Sea Castle". It is one of three gates of the Castle. This gate was so called for giving access to a chapel of the same name which collapsed and was destroyed completely in the earthquake of 1755. This plaque is located on the Rua da Bateria.
