Description

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Sonny Perdue, in flight suit, on left, observes a smokejumper getting a routine double-check as she readies to perform her recurring proficiency training jump at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) Great Basin Smokejumpers facility, in the Boise, Idaho, on June 2, 2017. Smokejumpers wear a padded flame-retardant jump suit to protect them from injury when parachuting through a tree canopy.
