English: A view of Worcester Cathedral flying the Black Country Flag.
Dudley and some other parts of the Black Country are in the Diocese of Worcester. The Bishop of Dudley, the Rt Revd Graham Usher, said in 2015: “The communities of the Black Country are rightly proud of their rich heritage and this spirit is summed up in the design of the Black Country flag. That's why I'm delighted that on Black Country Day our flag will be flying from the tower of Worcester Cathedral" (Setchell, Sam; (8 July 2015) Flying the flag for Black Country Day; Diocese of Worcester, Church of England). |
