„Deutsche Geophysikalische Gesellschaft e.V. An diesem Ort wurde am 19. September 1922 auf Inititative von Professor Emil Wiechert die DGG als Deutsche Seismologische Gesellschaft im Geophysikalischen Institut der Universität Leipzig gegründet. Das Gebäude wurde im Dezember 1943 bei einem Luftangriff zerstört. Leipzig, 4. März 2013“

„German Geophysical Society The DGG was founded at this location on September 19, 1922, at the initiative of Professor Emil Wiechert as the German Seismological Society in the Geophysical Institute of the University of Leipzig. The building was destroyed in an air raid in December 1943. Leipzig, March 4, 2013“
