| Description |
English: View of the new public sculpture Angel of Maastricht at the intersection of Scharnerweg and Nassaulaan in Maastricht, Netherlands. The roundabout is part of the "Green Carpet" (Groene Loper) under construction, is laid out on top of the Koning Willem-Alexandertunnel, where the A2 motorway ran aboveground until 2016. Around 1100 houses will be built along this 2.5 km long park-like zone. Over 2000 lime trees have been planted. The new road is destined for local traffic; the central strip will be reserved for bicycles and pedestrians. |
