Summary edit

Description
English: Reliquary of the Holy Nail (Reliquiar des heiligen Nagels) in the treasury of Trier Cathedral, Germany. The reliquary contains a nail of the Holy Cross. For centuries it was kept in the so-called portable altar of Saint Andrew (Andreas-Tragaltar or Egbert-Schrein). Both objects are major works of the 10th-century Egbert workshop in Trier.
