Description
English: Thai general election 2019, polling station (Koh Samui). This image shows all functions at a Thai polling station (election table). At left, where the girl scout, called "guide" in Thailand, sits, hangs lists with names of voters with specification of what table they shall register at. Next is hanging a big poster with photos and names of the candidates and their number on the ballot. Images and numbers are important for eventual illiterates. Relaxing behind the post is a police officer that guards the polling station. Behind the election official by the next post are three tables with green screens with a Thai-flag on the front, they are voting booths. In front is another table with a big transparent plastic ballot box. By the table at the right three election officials are registering a voter and hands out a ballot.
