Description
Deutsch: (NSG:RP-339-218)_Wiesen am Hirtenborn Der 4-6 mm große Violette Fallkäfer ist schwarzblau bis violett, manchmal leicht grünlich gefärbt und matt glänzend. Das Halsschild ist fein punktiert und die Stirn fein und dicht behaart. Der erwachsene Violette Fallkäfer ist von Mai bis Juli auf blütenreichen Wiesen und Magerrasen zu finden. Heute findet man ihn eher selten, während er in Deutschland bis in die 1960er Jahre häufig anzutreffen war. Die Käferlarven ernähren sich ab Juli von den Blättern verschiedener krautiger Pflanzen.
