| Description |
English: The M71mm Howitzers, the primary Weapons of Alpha Battery, 7th Field Artillery (STEEL RAIN) Battalion, Army Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, underwent comprehensive repair and maintenance in April this Year at Headquarters 11th FFSU, ASCOM, PA in Panacan, Davao City.
For the first time in five Years of action in the different Areas of Western Mindanao Command (WESTMINCOM) and Eastern Mindanao Command (EASTMINCOM), the Howitzers were once again reunited. Each Guns took hours, days, and nights of journey of Road journey from the Provinces of Cotabato, Maguindanao, and Agusan, Del Norte. Technicians from Elbit Systems Land, Israel with the 7FAB maintenance Team and gun Crew did the repair and detailed maintenance to extend the Weapons’ life that save the Government millions of pesos. After seven (7) straight working Days till late in the evening, the Howitzers were once again ready to be functionally tested in the combat area. The Howitzers were returned to Carmen, Cotabato this May 2022 for Crew refresher training in both operations and maintenance. |
