English: FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The 39th Flag Officer in Command (FOIC) of the Philippine Navy, Vice Admiral Adeluis S. Bordado PN, made a Farewell Visit to the Philippine Marine Corps on September 6, 2022. He was welcomed by Commandant MGen. Charlton Sean M. Gaerlan PN(M) and Staff.
In his Farewell Speech, the FOIC acknowledged the dedication of Marines, especially those who valiantly fought and died in the line of duty. These included the late Private First-Class Nestor F. Acero and the late First Lieutenant Lolinato G. To-ong, two Marine Valor Awardees whose Names are now carried by two new Fast-Attack Interdictor Craft-Missiles Vessels of the Philippine Navy. VAdm. Bordado, a Native of Calabanga, Camarines Sur and a proud Member of Philippine Military Academy “Maringal” Class of 1988, officially ends his Military Career on September 8, 2022. He is credited for supporting the Marine Corps’ Archipelagic Coastal Defense Strategy and Modernization Programs. |
