Description
Deutsch: Der Zoo Dresden wurde am 9. Mai 1861 eröffnet und ist damit nach Berlin, Frankfurt/Main und Köln der viertälteste Zoo Deutschlands. Er liegt im südwestlichen Teil des Großen Gartens und beherbergt ca. 1.370 Tiere in 235 verschiedenen Arten, darunter 79 Vogelarten und 60 Säugetierarten. Im Jahr 2018 kamen 903.000 Besucher, 2019 ca. 884.000. Die Fläche des Zoos beträgt rund 13 Hektar.
