Description
Deutsch: Die Museumsmühle befindet sich im Schermer, dem letzten großen Eindeichungsgebiet in der Provinz Noord-Holland. Durch Urbarmachung und eine Sturmflut hatte sich der Fluss hier zu einem großen Binnensee entwickelt: den Schermeer. Um die Sicherheit der Bevölkerung zu gewährleisten und Land zu gewinnen, wurde der Schermeer mithilfe von 52 Mühlen leergepumpt.
