Description
Deutsch: Die Felsenburg Neurathen ist die Ruine einer mittelalterlichen Felsenburg im Elbsandsteingebirge in Sachsen. Sie liegt auf dem Basteifelsen bei Rathen im Nationalpark Sächsische Schweiz. Neurathen ist die größte mittelalterliche Felsenburg der Sächsischen Schweiz. Die erstmals 1289 urkundlich erwähnte Burg befand sich im Besitz verschiedener böhmischer Adelsgeschlechter, bis sie zunächst 1426 und nach mehrfachen Kämpfen endgültig 1469 in den Besitz der sächsischen Kurfürsten überging.
