Description
Nederlands: Romaanse kapitelen in de kooromgang van de Onze-Lieve-Vrouwebasiliek in Maastricht. De 20 figuratieve kapitelen dateren uit het midden van de 12e eeuw en behoren tot de hoogtepunten van de romaanse beeldhouwkunst in het Maasland. De hier op de voorgrond getoonde, vierzijdig gebeeldhouwde kapitelen worden in de gebruikelijke naamgeving aangeduid als kapiteel 2 en 3. Op kapiteel 2 is op elke hoek een naakt mannetje met borsten afgebeeld, die draken of leeuwen zoogt. Kapiteel 3 bevat op elke hoek een weglopend naakt mannetje, verstrikt in het loof, op de hielen gezeten door een wild dier, op de hier afgebeelde zijde d een draak.
