Naval Forces Central participated in the Dry Run for the Sinulog Fluvial Procession

English: Headquarters Naval Forces Central (HNFC), Naval Base Rafael Ramos (NBRR), Brgy Looc, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, January 19, 2024 – Naval Forces Central Floating Assets participated in a Dry Run for the upcoming Sinulog 2024 Fluvial Procession from Captain Veloso Pier (CVP), NBRR, enroute to Mactan Channel to Pier 1, Cebu Port Authority, Cebu City on January 17.

The Sinulog Fluvial Procession is a part of a larger celebration of 459th Fiesta Señor Santo Niño, a significant Event held annually that unites Devotees and Participants to pay homage to the Santo Niño, the revered Patron Saint of the City. This Maritime Procession symbolizes the historical arrival of the Santo Niño to the Philippines, involving a Ceremonial Boat ride along Cebu Channel.

Naval Forces Central, in close collaboration with other Law Enforcement Agencies and Partner-Stakeholders such as Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police, Maritime Industry Authority, Organizers from Basilica Minore de Sto. Niño, the “Galleon” MV Martin 8 of Maayo Shipping Lines and Sinulog Foundation participated in the Dry-Run to evaluate the extent of preparation through Simulation of Activities that will take place during the Fluvial Procession in order to ensure the smooth execution and identify potential areas for improvement for the success of the Event which will take place on January 20, 2024 (Saturday).
