Naval Forces Central ensures safe and successful Sinulog Fluvial Procession 2024

English: Headquarters Naval Forces Central (HNFC), Naval Base Rafael Ramos (NBRR), Brgy Looc, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, January 21, 2024 – Naval Forces Central played a Critical Role in ensuring the success of the Sinulog Fluvial Procession last January 20, 2024.

Naval Forces Central through Naval Task Force 51 (NTF51) deployed five (5) Surface Assets namely: BRP GENER TINANGAG (PG903), BRP FILIPINO FLOJO (PC386), BRP ENRIQUE JURADO (PC371), BRP BATAK (LC299) and BRP TAUSUG (LC295) along with two (2) Teams from Naval Special Operations Unit 5 (NAVSOU5) as Quick Reaction Teams (QRT) and other Naval Support Units to ensure the safe and successful conduct of Sinulog Fluvial Procession in collaboration with various Partner Agencies and Organizations.

The Sinulog Fluvial Procession, deeply ingrained in Cebu's Cultural and Religious Heritage symbolizing the convergence of Faith and Tradition had attracted thousands of Participants, Devotees and Spectators who were able to enjoy this momentous Event. As the echoes of the Sinulog Fluvial Procession linger in the Hearts of Cebuanos, the Role played by Naval Forces Central along with other line Agencies and Organizations marked a significant impact on the success and safety of the Event.

Your Navy in the Visayas, in harmony with the Cebuanos, embraced the time-honored Occasion and shared commitment in preserving this significant Cultural and Religious Tradition. The participation of Naval Forces Central in the Sinulog Fluvial Procession is a Testament to our dedication and the importance we place in ensuring the safety and success of Religious and Cultural Events that hold deep significance to our fellow Citizens in the Visayas.
