Description

208-PU-171-E-4: Model of “Good Neighbor” Monument Exhibited at Pan American Union in Washington. Josephus Daniels (left), former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico and Secretary of the Navy; Spruillo Braden (center), U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for American Republic Affairs; and Luis Quintanilla (right), Ambassador, representative of Mexico to the Pan American Union, viewing the model of the Good Neighbor Policy monument to the memory of the late U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt during a visit to an exhibit of Mexican sculpture at the Pan American Union Building in Washington, D.C. The monument, to be erected at Monterrey, Mexico, by order of President Manual Avila Camacho of Mexico, features a vigorous sculptured group symbolizing the late U.S. President guiding the Four Freedoms.
