Description
English: Taken during my very first visit (by rail) to Germany during the Summer of 1985. It was certainly an eye opener and the first of many more trips to come over the following years. Stations like the main terminal at Frankfurt (Main) Hbf saw virtually 100% loco hauled passenger trains at the time. The ICE high speed train sets hadn't arrived and the S-Bahn suburban system was hidden away on the lower level. Seen on 25 July 1985 is 218.365. Unfortunately I have no details of the train working.
