Hertfordshire Railtour's "Quantock Crompton" tour took a pair of "slim line" class 33/2s on to the West Somerset Railway. Seen here at Blue Anchor during a photostop, the tour took a fairly straightforward route from London Paddington through to Taunton prior to the rarely used connection at Norton Fitzwarren. For the record the working details were 1Z33 (sic), 09:00 London Paddington to Minehead. Both 33s seen are in the "Dutch" livery applied to some 33s used for Civil Engineer's trains. Closest to the camera is 33202 with 33208 "The Burma Star" behind. |
